who is she? How did she get here?

My name is Alexxus Garvey, and I’m a copywriter from Vermont. (Yes, I do enjoy some maple syrup! No, I don’t know how to ski.) My copywriting journey began at Johnson & Wales University (JWU) where I majored in Advertising and Marketing Communications with a specialization in Creative Advertising.

While at university, I joined the JWU Ad Team where we place 8th at the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) in 2018. The excitement of making it to nationals furthered my drive and made the long nights in the Ad Lab worth it. All of that has led me here…

I have spent over 3 years at FCB Health New York gaining experience on both the healthcare and consumer side of brands. A few of the names I have worked on include Cologuard, FINTEPLA, Koselugo, and ULTOMIRIS, where I was a part of the NMOSD indication launch team.

Day after day, I continue to push myself as a writer, and believe that just maybe earning a degree in advertising wasn’t such a bad idea. (Although my colleagues have questioned my sanity for it).
